Stainless Steel Baseboards

Stainless steel baseboards V2A/V4A are a durable and hygienic solution for facilities with high sanitary requirements.

Used where corrosion resistance and easy cleaning are essential. Ideal for heavy-duty industrial sites and laboratories.

Stainless Steel Baseboards V2A / V4A – Durability and Corrosion Resistance

Baseboards are manufactured from stainless steel:

  • V2A (1.4301)
  • V4A (1.4571)

These materials guarantee exceptional corrosion resistance. They withstand moisture, organic acids and aggressive cleaning agents. Consequently, the baseboards perform reliably in constant water contact and during intensive wash-downs and disinfection.

Stainless Steel Baseboards – Hygiene and HACCP Compliance

In food and pharmaceutical plants every finishing element must support cleanliness and reduce contamination risk. Stainless steel baseboards are engineered to maintain the highest hygiene standards.

The rounded profile eliminates sharp edges and hard-to-clean corners where dirt could accumulate. The smooth surface simplifies cleaning and meets HACCP, IFS and BRC requirements.

Benefits of Stainless Steel Baseboards

Key product features:

  • high resistance to corrosion and chemicals
  • easy cleaning and hygiene maintenance
  • rounded profile that minimises dirt build-up
  • smooth surface resistant to intensive wash-downs
  • aesthetic and long-lasting finish for production zones
  • suitable for new builds and refurbishments

Thanks to these properties stainless steel baseboards are recommended for environments with strict sanitary demands.

Applications of Stainless Steel Baseboards

Stainless steel baseboards are widely used in:

  • meat and poultry processing plants
  • fish processing facilities
  • dairies and cheese factories
  • breweries and beverage plants
  • confectionery production
  • fruit and vegetable processing
  • commercial kitchens
  • laboratories and technical rooms

This solution is perfect wherever durability, food safety and resistance to heavy-duty operation are required.

Installation of Stainless Steel Baseboards

Baseboards can be installed in both new facilities and during modernisation. The universal design fits various floor types and technical specifications.

Stainless Steel Baseboards – Reliable Industrial Solution

When durability, hygiene and compliance with sanitary standards are priorities, V2A/V4A stainless steel baseboards are the proven choice. Used in food production, laboratories and high-cleanliness environments, they deliver long-term, safe performance.

Frequently asked questions

How do stainless steel baseboards differ from PVC?

Stainless steel baseboards do not deform under high temperatures (hot water wash-downs), resist forklift impacts and are fully HACCP compliant. PVC is cheaper but needs replacement every 3-5 years in food plants; stainless steel lasts 30+ years. The aesthetic matches modern production equipment.

What heights of stainless steel baseboards do you offer?

Standard heights: 60, 80, 100, 120, 150 mm. For aggressive wash-down areas we recommend 100-120 mm to protect walls from detergent splash. 150 mm profiles are chosen in facilities with high liquid drainage (bottling lines, dairies). Custom heights (e.g. 200 mm) are available on request.

Are the baseboards HACCP compliant?

Yes – all our V2A and V4A stainless steel baseboards meet HACCP requirements: smooth surface without bacterial traps, PZH food-contact approval, and a radiused cove (R30-R50) that eliminates difficult-to-clean corners. Standard in food processing, dairies, breweries and meat plants.

How to install stainless steel baseboards?

Procedure: (1) prepare clean, dry, level substrate, (2) cut profiles to size with metal saw or diamond blade, (3) fix with construction adhesive (Sika, Bostik), (4) seal edges with sanitary silicone or resin grout. Cove profiles require precise fitting to the floor type. We recommend installation by experienced contractors.

Do the baseboards include a cove (radiused profile for cleaning)?

Yes – we offer profiles with integrated cove (R30-R50 radius) that eliminates the wall-floor junction. The cove facilitates high-pressure cleaning and complies with HACCP, IFS and BRC. Profiles without cove are used in dry storage or office areas. Cove version is standard for food production.

What standard sizes and shapes are available?

Standard lengths: 1000, 2000, 3000 mm. Profiles can be overlapped or site-welded. Shapes: straight (90°), coved (R30-R50), internal/external corners, stair angles. Sheet thickness: 1.0-1.5 mm. Custom dimensions and special shapes (45° corners, stair nosings) are produced to order.
