Frequently asked questions

What grade of stainless steel are B&K Group shower drains made from?

Linear shower drains are manufactured from V2A stainless steel (1.4301 / AISI 304) for standard bathrooms and V4A (1.4404 / AISI 316L) with molybdenum for areas exposed to chlorine or salt, such as pools. Stainless steel is hygienic and corrosion-resistant.

Is a linear drain suitable for barrier-free showers (level with the floor)?

Yes. Linear shower drains are installed flush with the floor, enabling barrier-free shower zones. Water flows along a single line, reducing floor slope requirements and simplifying installation.

Which type of drain should I choose for a shower?

We recommend linear shower drains that collect water along their full length and allow large-format tiles. For larger floor areas or entire facilities, see our stainless steel drainage systems.

Are shower drains easy to clean?

Yes. The smooth stainless steel surface resists bacteria and cleans easily. TIG/MIG welded construction with removable trap and grate simplifies maintenance.

Can shower drains be made to custom dimensions?

Yes. Linear drains are produced in lengths and finishes tailored to your bathroom design. On request we supply 3.1 mill certificates per EN 10204. Our stainless steel drains are exported to 15 markets including the EU, UK and Turkey.

Do the shower drains meet hygiene requirements?

Stainless steel is hygienic and easy to disinfect. We hold PZH approval and EHEDG membership; our solutions support HACCP compliance for pools, hotels and foodservice facilities.
